Indianhead International School, established in 1979, is private, nonsectarian, and non-profit. Our school is located in Uijeongbu City, contiguous to Seoul. We offer a comprehensive United States-based K-12 curriculum of the highest quality for expatriate children and Korean nationals determined eligible for enrollment by the Korean Ministry of Education. Indianhead School is fully accredited by the California-based Accrediting Commission for School, Western Association of School and Colleges (WASC).

Students attend classes in three buildings. The administration building, the Elementary and Primary School building and the newly built High School building (grades 7-12). The High School building has two fully equipped computer laboratories, two science laboratories, two art rooms, two music rooms, a suite of music practice rooms, and individual subject teacher classrooms. It also contains a well-equipped library, a large cafeteria, and two indoor aerobic/dance areas. The Elementary building has eight classrooms that house grades K-6. Additionally, this building offers a spacious auditorium, residential accommodations for teaching faculty. The New High School building has been designed according to the school’s master plan to meet projected enrollment growth over the next several years. Our new high school facility will enable Indianhead School to even better serve students from the greater Seoul metropolitan area.

One reality of diversity for some Indianhead students is that English is a second language. At Indianhead we are steadfastly committed to providing English instruction to any student needing support to become a fluent English speaker in the classroom, around campus, and in life beyond school.

At Indianhead School we believe that everyone is unique, and as such are valued for their abilities and their potential. Our student body and faculty represent many backgrounds and experiences. The diversity created provides a challenging yet enriching environment for a community of learners to work together.

Small class sizes and low pupil-teacher ratios characterize an education at Indianhead. We are steadfastly committed to individualized guidance and careful monitoring of individual needs.

Reporting is frequent – quarterly in elementary, and mid-quarterly and quarterly in middle and high school. Parent conferences are held twice yearly as well as on request.

Working at Indianhead is challenging. Students and parents have high expectations of themselves, their teachers and the school. Every class brings its own unique challenges as a result, yet also each class brings many, many rewards. Students are highly motivated, goal orientated and plainly hard working.
